On Tuesday, November 8 we visited the Picasso museum. Everyone knows about Picasso, or thinks they do. We were impressed by his early work and his imaginative adoption of many styles and media throughout his career. Anyone who thinks Picasso couldn’t draw needs to check out his early work. Even in his teen years he achieved mastery of the academic and traditional styles of his day.
The Picasso museum is housed in five adjoining medieval palaces, which are themselves interesting to see. Photography is not allowed inside the museum, but we took a couple of shots of the building’s exterior.
After our visit to the Picasso Museum, we walked around that part of town, called La Ribera. We saw this little rock club decorated with the Ramones logo.
We couldn’t resist including a shot of Stephanie and this tiny truck. For photos of Stephanie and the tiny cars in Italy, see Little Cars from our Italy Unguided Tour.
